Work Life Balance Resources
WAHMS -A 21st Century Phenomenon

Work at Home Moms, or Wahms as they have become affectionately known, seem to have managed to bridge the gap between working and raising children.

Ask any Wahm, and I am sure you will learn many secrets about how they succeed. The main secret that many will tell you is that working from home means that they are there for their children, and they are contributing to the family in both financial and emotional terms.

Ask those same Wahms and they will also be able to offer you insights and support in how to overcome some of the more niggling problems that you may be faced with, for example, how do you get started, how did you manage to persuade your partner, family and friends, how do you overcome the possible problem of not being part of a community, workforce, etc.

These and many other concerns are addressed in the many SBI videos available to view via you tube etc.

Here are just a few of my favourite examples, each example provides a different perspective, although the most effective perspective is provided by a six year old girl.

You Are At Home For Your Kids Now You Can Contribute Financially Too... And Love It!

Written by an actual work-at-home mom herself, this page speaks from the heart and directly to moms in a way they will understand and feel emotionally.

Do you want some or all of the following?

  • The opportunity to do something where they get to use their creative talents, writing skills and job experiences, as well their passions
  • Quality time away from the day-to-day responsibilities to kids, husband, home.
  • The satisfaction of doing something for themselves that provides fun, a feeling of accomplishment and income for their families
  • A flexible job that can be done anytime from home (or anywhere) without a schedule, bosses, or even customers
  • A real online business that requires only basic computer skills and provides a comprehensive support/training system to help them succeed
  • Control of their own finances (they are not dependent on spouse's income)
  • And most of all... the chance to be there for the kids when they need mom (or dad).

This and much more is waiting for you, yes you, what is stopping you from becoming a successful WAHM.

The answer to this problem will probably revolve around fear, fear of failure, fear of success even, and those fears are well and truly overcome by simply visiting the many WAHM web sites, and more impressively, the SBI Forums, in my humble opinion, the single most beneficial aspect of SBI...click here to view some topics raised by WAHMs, and because the WAHMS are so so very special, they even have their own thread...how cool is that!!!!
